Happy Birthday Kiki!

Happy Birthday Kiki! I hope you have a wonderful day. Sorry we're not going to the Bahamas for the big one. My little sibling is messing that one up. Sorry but I need a brother or sister.

Cutting Down the Tree

This is the tree I want...and I got! Yep, all 15 feet of it!

Mom wanted a pre-lit fake tree and Dad was determined not to go that route so we ended up going for a hike and cutting down our own tree. Mom had gone for a run on Saturday to scope out the options so we all headed in on Sunday to choose a tree.

Dad & I ready to hike in and find the perfect tree.

Dad cut the tree down very quickly and attached it to my sled to pull it out to the truck. I helped with the pulling a little and then Mom carried me the rest of the way out.

Helping Dad pull the monster tree out.

We knew it was tall when we were cutting it down, but I'm not sure Mom and Dad realized just how big it was until they stood it up in the house. We even had to go out and buy four more strings of lights and some ornaments to help fill it in.

I put the final ornaments on the tree this morning!

We are getting ready for the holidays here way earlier than ever before (and probably ever again). Even Mr. Hank already has his Christmas collar on.

The Big One!

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a fun holiday yesterday and ate lots of good food. I know we had a great day! After some work around the house, Dad got to enjoy a great mountain bike on Red Hill in Carbondale. Pretty cool spot we live in that we could have chosen between mountain biking and skiing in one day! Mom and I worked on the turkey and gravy while Dad was riding and then Mom got out for a quick run on the mountain with Elinor. The whole time I was dying for my friends to come over.

Finally it was time and everyone arrived - 15 total including us three little ones. I had so much fun making most of the adults crawl through my tunnel and playing with Emerson. Thanks everyone!

It sounds like the adults had a very good feast and everyone was very full by the time they sat down to watch the football game. I continued to entertain and boss everyone around. At one point I had about 6 grownups with their hands in the air dancing with me. All on my command. Oh, I love it!

Photos are of Emerson Kennedy and me riding our Striders and saying goodnight.

Winter Training

To follow up on my Spring Training video from a while ago, I just wanted to let you all know I'm still training. Lately it is mostly on the bike trainer although I have been able to ride outside some as well. Pretty soon we'll be doing a lot more skiing but the snow hasn't quite stuck around at the house yet. Aspen Mountain and Snowmass open this week so maybe Mom and Dad will get me on the chairlift very soon.

Have a happy and fun Thanksgiving!

1st Ski Day of the Season

Although I never actually put on my skis, we had a great ski this morning at Sunlight. Mom, Dad, Rachel, Mavis, Jen and I skinned up and enjoyed a nice ski down. Getting a free ride on Dad's back while everyone else works hard is pretty fun. I'm getting very excited for the ski areas to open so I can ride the chairlift and ski down on my own.

Dad & I ready for some skiing!

Good job Daddy!

Winter is starting to arrive here and yesterday was a good day to play inside. It was a little too snowy/rainy to play outside so Mom and I decided to finger paint. I really enjoyed having the paint all over me but am finally at an age where I understand it only goes on the paper.

Not much else is happening. Kiki and T got me a really cool new table that's all mine! I have really been enjoying tea parties with BaaBaa, Baby and Big Bunny. Mom and Dad need to get a photo because it's super cute.

Lots of snow today! I'm getting really excited to ski but the mountain doesn't open for another few weeks. In the meantime, Dad and I went for a ride on the snowmobile this morning while Mom skinned up Aspen mountain.

Here are a few photos from my first Trick or Treating experience. It took me a few houses to understand what was going on but I had a blast. My monkey costume was warm and adorable! I'm already psyched for Halloween next year and all the candy.
